This the very limited "Edition des amis des arts" collection, limited to ten copies, with this set being number 1/10. This set also includes a letter signed by Victor Hugo. The set is bound in a dark blue levant morocco janseniste with turn-ins gilt, doublures of light blue morocco gilt with flower center ornaments, facing free endpages of embroidered blue silk, and gilt edges. The books are in very good - near fine condition with some headcaps being worn and joints split, with some repair work. This is printed on high quality Japanese vellum paper and contains 519 etchings in double suite plus 70 double page etchings. This specific set was made or and was made for Frederick Coykendall.
