This is a "new" edition of the 1830 original that includes a "copious index" by William Hone. More importantly, the book is signed by Frances "Fanny" Burney and was given as a gift with the inscription "Major Wood from Fanny Burney with her kindest regards, January 16, 1838". Fanny Burney was an English novelist and is most famous for the book Evelina, and it is rare to find items containing her signature. The book is in near fine condition and comes with a custom made case.
