This listing is for a collection of the Complete Works of Count Lev "Leo" Nikolayevich Tolstoy, Translated from the Original Russian and Edited by Leo Wiener, Assistant Professor of Slavic Languages at Harvard University, in 24 Volumes. Each book has been bound in a beautiful red morocco gilt with compartmentalized and raised bands on the spines. The end-pages are cut and the front and back end-page have a cloth cover, while the rest of the pages are rough cut, though they all have a gilt top edge. This is set number 8 of 150 copies made of the limited "Connoisseur" edition, and there is a colored portrait in each volume. The books are all in excellent, though varied condition. Details continue below. - Upper spine extremities on vol. 9 and 16 are chipped. - Hinges are cracked on vol. 4, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 16. - Chipping on the corners to vol. 8, 13, 17, and 19 (upper), and 4, 11 (lower). - Minor shelf wear appears on most volumes.
