Carmen Opera Comique en 4 Actes by Georges Bizet

Choudens, Paris, 1875. This is a first edition copy published in 1875 of the vocal score (with piano) for the complete 4-act grand opera Carmen, by Georges Bizet, first performed in Paris on March, 1875. The score has been rebound in a red hardcover with gilt. The score itself is in excellent condition with almost no markings. The book cover has shelf wear and some nicks on the spine with a minor tear at the top of it. Overall it is an excellent copy of an epic piece of music. The lyrics are in French. The publisher was Antony Choudens, who was a French music publisher in the late 1800's.
